|CLINICAL PROCEDURES ::
During the first visit to the centre, the patient will be required to fill up their personal details and a set of questionnaires regarding their pain and current lifestyle. Patients are also advised to bring along their MRI or X- ray result if they have any. After that, the physical assessment is carried out and treatment or baseline on DBC Equipments will be carried out.
When the treatment period is completed, patients will receive home exercise instructions and they are also required to fill our customer feedback form upon their completion of the DBC Programme for us to improve our services.
HOW LONG IS THE DBC PROGRAMME AND WHAT IS THE DURATION OF EVERY SESSION
For Chronic neck, lower back and shoulder problems 12 sessions of exercise programme is recommended. For Knee rehabilitation, a range of 12 to 48 sessions depending on the patient category. All these exercise programs start with a baseline physical examination and ends with outcome physical examination.
For acute neck, lower back, shoulder and knee problems, modified DBC programme can be used 3/ 6/ 9 sessions of exercises, based on doctor’s prescription.
WHAT ARE THE CHANCE OF RECOVERY
Randomized controlled clinical trials and day- to -day treatment results obtained from DBC centres in different countries , pain reduction and improved function is consistently achieved in over 80% of the cases.
HOW DO I CONTINUE AFTER THE PROGRAMME
After the first course of treatment, based on the level of the improvement and together with the physiotherapist, you can decide either to continue on a second DBC course, start maintenance programme (one session per week) follow a home exercise programme in order to maintain the results. You will also be given advice on other activities or sports in terms of their suitability for condition and the possibilities of individual mortification.
Patients that would like to fix an appointment for the first time can book by phone or by email. Appointment for the physiotherapy or consultation services should be reserved in advance for patient’s convenience.
Any appointment changes or cancelations should be informed the day before. An appointment card will also be provided for the patient as their reminder.
Patient’s are required to wear proper attire for their treatment and active rehabilitation exercises. Advisable outfits are T- shirts, tracksuits, shorts or long pants. We also do provide changing room and lockers for patients to change and keep their belongings.
For patients that are being covered by insurance usually requires a specialist doctor’s referral. The referral is usually valid for one month for us to process the guarantee letter .The referral letter also provides the physiotherapist in charge to plan the patients treatment procedures.`
